MANILA, Philippines — A lawyer who served on President Marcos’ legal team during the 2022 elections has been named as deputy chief of the government’s chief information arm.
Allan Vincent Lorenzo was appointed deputy director general of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), an attached agency of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
The funds would be used in building its portfolio in the local market, particularly solar and battery projects, the company said Tuesday.
Article continues after this advertisementPrior to his appointment, Lorenzo is a senior partner of the Espino Valencia Pe Lim Nery Law Office. Lorenzo’s appointment was one of several appointments announced by the PCO on its Facebook page.

Lawyer Joseph Omar Castillo was also appointed as a member of the Taiwan-based Manila Economic and Cultural Office’s board of directors. Castillo is the chief executive officer of Fort Pilar Energy Inc. He previously served as chair of AirAsia Philippines Inc. and vice president for business operations of PNOC Exploration Corp. Castillo also worked as a partner at the Puyat Jacinto & Santos Law Office.
